MK3 can also produce master key systems with up to six levels of keying for five, six or seven pin cylinders. It has design features which allow you to create change keys directly under any higher level key in the system. The results of this DOS program are also displayed on-screen for your inspection, no wasted paper or waiting for a printout to see if the design worked. The exclusive system designer also allows specification of SKD combinations to be generated with the system.
MK3 can be used to create Construction Master Keyed systems. It knows the principles of the lost ball method and will automatically adjust the KBA to exclude forbidden depths.
MK3 knows the requirements for hotel master keying for those manufacturers who offer it and will design the bittings accordingly.
MK3 knows what multiplex keyways are and knows how to incorporate keyway progression into the system to produce the optimum keying potential.
MK3 understands that cross keyed combinations must be compatible and has the ability to remove any interchange combinations from the combination listing. It will display or print cross keyed pinning as well if you require it.
MK3 has some limited record keeping capabilities which will allow you to enter the door number for the combination and how many keys were, or should be, produced.
MK3 is supplied with manufacturer specification files which contain original manufacturer parameters and displays them on screen. It will allow you to change them at your own risk. Export of key system data to a file which can be imported into our KRM1W or KRMW key management programs takes a single keystroke.
A working demo is available by clicking below. The working demo is limited by not having the ability to print or save the system. The complete program does not have these limitations and will automatically save every system generated to the hard drive. The password is ‘demo’.
To install the demo, copy MK3demo.exe to a separate folder, such as “c:\temp;” or a separate storage device, such as a USB drive, or even a floppy. Execute MK3demo.exe, to expand the compressed file, then run install.
The copy protection for this program uses a device called a Dongle that must be plugged into LPT1 to run in the fully authorized mode. That allows the software to be installed upon multiple computers but not run if the Dongle isn’t present.
